Green Works® products are available in the cleaning aisle at all major stores where cleaning products are sold. You can also visit our where to buy page.
Natural home care products should: 1) contain natural ingredients, 2) avoid any ingredients with suspected human health risks, 3) use no animal testing and 4) use biodegradable ingredients along with environmentally sustainable packaging. We're proud to announce that five of our products have already passed a rigorous certification process — with more to follow.
All Green Works® products are 95% to 99% naturally derived. That means all of the active cleaning ingredients in our products are derived from mother nature, such as filtered water, plant-based cleaning agents, essential oils, corn-based ethanol and wood-based fibers. See ingredients list.
Well, there's not much of a mystery there. A combination of preservatives, fragrances and dyes makes up a very small percentage of our ingredients list. Since natural ingredients can go bad, the preservatives help our products last longer. And the fragrances make our products smell nice — something our fans are always complimenting us on. We're still working hard to find natural alternatives for our fragrances and preservatives, so the entire line can be 100% natural. In the meanwhile, if you prefer products that are fragrance-free and dye-free, try the free & clear versions of our laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid.
Not yet. But our scientists are currently looking into natural disinfecting ingredients. We hope to incorporate disinfecting into Green Works® cleaners in the future.
Natural ingredients are more expensive than the stuff that's used in traditional cleaners, which is why our products cost slightly more in the past. However, you might be surprised to find that our prices have really come down in recent months. Load for load, spritz for spritz and wipe for wipe, you'll find that Green Works® products are priced quite competitively when compared to traditional cleaners. That might explain why more and more people have been using our awesome products! Just take a peek at our prices the next time you're shopping for cleaning products. Find a store near you.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency created the Design for the Environment (DfE) program to reduce risk to people and the environment by preventing pollution. When you see the logo, it means that the DfE review team has screened each ingredient in the product for potential human health and environmental effects. Based on currently available information, predictive models and expert judgment, they determine that the product contains only those ingredients that pose the least concern among chemicals in their class.
